There are three major undertakings involved in W2F:

Higher-Level Protocols
W2F will be equipped with suitable protocols for clock synchronization, secure connection management, reliable at-most-once data transmission, group management, and atomic multicasting.
System Architecture
The envisioned protocols need certain hardware support for low-level security mechanisms and synchronized clocks. The node architecture must also accommodate secure coprocessors.
CDMA Wireless Spread-spectrum Communications
Our primary goal here is to avoid the real-time communications scheduling problem required for all shared channels by using CDMA spread-spectrum communications both in wireline and wireless networks.
