Conference Venue

DIMVA 2005 is located in Vienna, the capital of Austria, and one of the most beautiful cultural centres of Europe. Best known as a town of fine arts and music, Vienna is also a place of very impressive historical architecture. Situated in the heart of Europe, Vienna plays a major role as a bridge between East and West. The world's capital of music is a unique city monument with highlights from the Middle Ages and the Baroque era, from Historicism and Art Nouveau - complemented by contemporary architecture. Congress participants and accompanying persons will have the opportunity to attend concerts and theatre performances, to have dinner in one of the excellent Viennese restaurants or to visit "Vienna at night". The conference venue itself is located at the Vienna University of Technology, which is in walking distance from the famous Staatsoper (Vienna Opera), the Musikverein, and many other major sights.
